Yet another reason why I love living in Seattle: A group of parents, with the help of the Kavana Cooperative, are starting up an after-school program designed to take Jewish education and engagement to the next level! More than just your typical Hebrew school, Shorashim serves students from kindergarten through fifth grade, and seeks to create a fun, camp-like atmosphere where students can learn about and, most importantly, interact with their faith and culture. Check out my article, and visit the link at the bottom to give to their fundraiser on IndieGogo so they can get this program off the ground!

Hey parents, it’s 3:30 p.m. Do you know where your kids are? Maybe at Hebrew school?
